From Nagpur to Nation: Spreading Awareness for Student Support Schemes

The Students Oruma Foundation, in a collaborative association with the Falah Social Organization, successfully conducted a pivotal Parents’ Awareness Campaign across multiple schools in Nagpur. The initiative was designed to inform and empower parents and guardians about the various government and private welfare schemes available to support students’ education.

The campaign specifically targeted families from economically challenged backgrounds, including orphans, children of widows or divorcees, and meritorious students seeking scholarships. The goal was to bridge the information gap and ensure these communities can access the financial support and resources necessary for academic success.

Building on the success of the Nagpur chapter, the organizations are proud to announce a significant expansion of this critical initiative. The awareness campaign has now been launched in five additional cities: Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, and Chandrapur, greatly extending its reach and impact.

“A key barrier to education is often a lack of awareness, not a lack of opportunity. This campaign is about equipping parents with the knowledge they need to become active advocates for their children’s future,” said a spokesperson for the Students Oruma Foundation. “We are thrilled to scale this effort and bring this vital information to more communities across the region.”

The Falah Social Organization reiterated its commitment to grassroots change, stating, “Our partnership focuses on creating sustainable support systems. By directly engaging with parents, we are ensuring that benefits meant for students reach them effectively, fostering greater educational equity.”
