Our Story
Students Oruma Foundation was born from a simple yet powerful observation: many of India’s most impactful government welfare schemes remained out of reach for the very people who needed them most—orphans, widows, and underprivileged students. Burdened by a lack of information, complex paperwork, and bureaucratic hurdles, these vulnerable groups were left behind.
We started as a small group of passionate individuals determined to simplify this process. Today, as a registered Section 8 Company with 12A & 80G certifications and NGO Darpan registration, we have grown into a structured organization, but our core mission remains unchanged: to be a bridge of hope and a catalyst for sustainable change.
Our Credentials & Transparency
Registered as a Section 8 Company (Under the Companies Act, 2013): A not-for-profit entity with legally defined social objectives.
12A Registration: Income tax exemption on all our income, ensuring all resources are directed towards our mission.
80G Certification: Enables our donors to claim a 50% tax deduction on their contributions, making every rupee you give go further.
NGO Darpan Registered: Registered with the NITI Aayog portal, affirming our credibility and alignment with government initiatives.
